New Beginnings....

Hello everyone, it has been awhile since our last blog. Way behind on getting the news out to you, if you have not heard already. We have our first office space! Excited for this change for Studio MSP moving in a forward direction. We have been working on this for some time. Slowly but surely we have found a place. Great fit, cause we did not really need a lot of room. (Just to get it out of the owners home, he appreciates it!!). We are now located at:

Busy we have been....

Hello everyone. Hope life is been good for you lately!! We have been busy around the studio. Trying to get SanAntonioNightOut.com off and running, and don't forget to check it out.  NB KidsFEST was about a month ago.. wow, talk about last minute works...but we got it all done!! And then we got the opportunity to do most of the banners for Crawfish Festival of New Braunfels. And in doing the banner layouts, we acquired the braggin' rights to doing the events main stage which had Kevin Fowler and Cory Morrow playing on it. Oh yeah!! But in the middle of running around with our heads cut off, we been having lots of fun. We are looking to expand Studio MSP. Needing to expand to carry the work load we have gained though hard work and persistence. Watch us grow!!! So as to not bore you anymore, we have attached a few items we have been working on. Hope you enjoy!!

Hello San Antonio....... We're Here!!!!

     Well, if most of you have been watching us on FACEBOOK, you know we have taking on a new ADVENTURE here at Studio MSP. We are the new owners of SanAntonioNightOut.com. Proud to have this opportunity to expand our horizons with this new addition to our services. We hope this will be another step in the way that Studio MSP helps our customers . Excited about this and the new year, we want to make it the best for us and our customers.

     SanAntonioNightOut.com is an amazing site. More like a search engine for fun!! Anything you want to know about the fun NIGHT LIFE in San Antonio. Full of advertising for all sorts of businesses, and a calendar to post events for the 6,000 unique visitors we receive each month. And we welcome bands to join our site for free!!! But, please make sure you list your events on our calendar to everyone will know. When we first got SA-NighOut we posted a new business. About 7-9 days later, doing a search for that business on Google we found something great. Their listing on our site was third on Google. We welcome all business to call and visit with us about how we can put your advertising dollars to use and get you great results!!  Remember, Studio MSP is here to help .... "MAKE YOU LOOK GOOD!!"

Color me what..... RGB vs CYMK

Today class, we are talking about COLOR.. easy right.. you have primary colors, which are RED, BLUE, YELLOW.  From here you can mix your primary colors to get your secondary colors, that would be violet, green, orange. Now you only really need primary colors to make any color you choose. With in theory! You see these colors make the color spectrum. But when you go to print and to web graphics its a little different. You have RGB and CMYK color combinations to play within. Now RGB color is used for computers, TV's and other items that have a screen on them. RGB is red, green and blue light. As for CYMK, this is for printed materials, and printing applications. CYMK is cyan, yellow, magenta, and black ink. (  I know i said earlier that red, blue, yellow can be combined to make any color so why black ink? If you actually mix the colors together you get more of a milky dark brown. So they mix a black ink to use for black and to help in darker colors. )  The biggest problem with this is it is hard to carry colors back and forth through RGB and CYMK color schemes. With RGB, when you mix this colors together... you get white.  One color scheme is the presence of light, the other the absence of light.

That is why is is hard sometimes to take a vibrant color on a computer screen and print that exact color on a printed material. There are ways to get them close, but they will never be the same. That is why its a good idea to have one person/company to help keep your colors correct. The more you have different companies "play" with your images, the more chances there is about  having color issues and even altered image issues. If you don't use a person/ one company to do your imaging and branding, then make sure the company you use is qualified in their work, and they should be able to keep you looking good.

       Image is very important in the business arena. You may provide a GREAT SERVICE, a GREAT PRODUCT, and even have GREAT EMPLOYEES.... but if your business doesn't hold a certain standard of business image, it will not matter. You need the social presents today more than ever. You need to stand above the competition in marketing. You need to be unified in your appearance and presentation.
       Your brand / logo should be on everything that leaves your business, from your business cards, stickers on items that can be purchased by your customers, and even your staff to coordinate in an effort to make sure your business PRESENCE is standing out above the rest. Just a little HONEY will do ya.....

     Did i get your attention with the HONEY? Hope so! We are talking about .... HONEYBAKED HAM CO. AND CAFE. Just opened in The MarketPlace Shopping Center is the NEW HoneyBaked Ham Co. and Cafe. The Morse's (Matt, Mom, Dad) are there every day ready to serve you and help get that yummy in your tummy!! And YEP, you read it right, that's why there is a CAFE in the title. Instead of just HAMs..they have sandwiches, salads, and even some Turkey for your lunch or afternoon eatin'. But most of all the best dam HAM around!!! 

     Knowing that they need to cater to people today in more than just one format..... they take advantage of QR codes, mobile info, websites, and social media. And lets not forget to mention about the promotional items... provided by Studio MSP. (self plug..hehe)  In today's market you have to take advantage of the avenues that are out there.  But lets not forget... that the the biggest thing to remember is what keeps a customer once they are in the door. That my friends is a GREAT product and good down-to-earth customer service. Both can be found at HoneyBaked Ham Co. and Cafe New Braunfels.  Here you are met with a smile and a warm welcome. Remember, your customers want to feel welcome, and sometimes it could be the smallest things that bring them back to the food, the service, and to YOUR business.

Branding with the Family....

     I want to share a little something about a local business that has really grabbed their marketing and branding and to utilize it the best they can. To what business am i talking about? ... Olive's Market & Deli. If you follow Studio MSP and Mix-It-Up Mixers, than you have heard us talk about them. If not, then pay attention!  This is a family run establishment! And when i say family, i mean family. The owners, Mark and Nancy Kimsey along with the children manage, cook, clean, serve, and treat everyone like family. Eating here is a real pleasure. Inviting and warm just like dinner with family. Go by and try them out of you haven't already.     

     After meeting them a few times, they inquired about having Studio MSP do some business cards. While talking about the cards it was discussed that they had 3 variations of a similar "Olive's", but different "Market & Deli" used in their branding. Studio MSP visited with them about one design used on their vehicles. This design and vehicle wrap was done by Digital D-Signs here in New Braunfels. After discussing this issue, it was decided that this DESIGN would be the brand for their business. After doing the business card, soon other items were added.... NEW storefront signs, banner, stand up banner, and flyer-cards....ALL from Studio MSP with the new logo. In addition to those items, they use it on take out boxes, and soon shirts. They make sure that anything that talks about Olive's Italian Market & Deli has the appropriate design to help people identify with the great food and service they provide.      Check out the NEW look....

Research has shown that certain colors directly affect human emotions, human feelings, and human behaviors. To better explore this belief, researchers developed a theory called the psychology of color which is concerned with the effects that specific colors have on individuals' moods, emotions, and behaviors as they perceive colors. Some examples used to explore the psychology color include: 
The color blue which is frequently used as the color of hospital rooms because it has a very soothing effect that is used to treat illnesses and reducing pain. It accomplishes this by slowing down the rate of the parasympathetic nervous system which controls breathing, heart rate, and subaceous (sweat) glands. Many offices are also decorated blue because research has shown that people are more productive in blue rooms. When an individual wears blue clothing they are seen as dependable and responsible, so people often wear blue clothing to job interviews in order to appear reliable.
The color red, on the other hand, accomplishes the opposite of blue by stimulating a faster heart rate and breathing. Sports teams also sometimes paint the opposing locker room red because it is believed to cause their opponents to lose energy.
The color yellow is believed to enhance concentration, so it is used for legal pads. However, while it is considered an optimistic color people often lose their temperatures in yellow rooms more than any other color.
The color white is used in many countries to signify professional authority, purity and innocence. For instance, doctors, lab technicians, and other medical professionals such as scientists often wear white lab coats to connote their authority, cleanliness and sterility. Many brides also wear white dresses to convey the purity and innocence that they believe marriage signifies. Many buildings also purposely paint rooms white because it makes those areas seem more spacious than they actually are.

How do companies find the right promotional item? Here are four suggestions:

• Give items that members of your target audience will use in the environment where they make decisions about using your product or service. If you go after executives in corporations, give them something they will use in their offices, around their desktop so your company can be top of mind when they make decisions. Golf-related items are exceptions because lots of business happens on the golf course.

• Have it underscore your marketing message and differentiate your company. Mr. McLaughlin recounts a computer software client who makes antivirus software. The client put its logo on boxes of condoms and sent them to information technology types with the message, “Protect yourself, protect your computers.” Results? “Most I.T. people are male,” said Mr. McLaughlin, “and don’t really have girlfriends so that’s particularly titillating. They believe they got pretty good results.” A bit edgy for most companies, but you get the idea.

•Personalize them. While we are fond of our company logos, customers really like to use items that have their names on them. “People like seeing their own name above all else, said Mike Linderman, president of Express Pens, and former chairman of the Promotional Products Association International. His company makes pens in small quantities that can be imprinted with both your company’s logo and your client’s name.

• Skip the logoed water bottles and other items that will be quickly used and tossed. Make your promotional products investment something that will have a shelf life.
