Hello everyone. Hope life is been good for you lately!! We have been busy around the studio. Trying to get <a href="http://www.sanantonionightout.com/">SanAntonioNightOut.com</a> off and running, and don't forget to check it out. <a href="http://www.nbkidsfest.com/" target="_blank">NB KidsFEST</a> was about a month ago.. wow, talk about last minute works...but we got it all done!! And then we got the opportunity to do most of the banners for <a href="http://www.crawfishfestivalnewbraunfels.com/" target="_blank">Crawfish Festival of New Braunfels</a>. And in doing the banner layouts, we acquired the braggin' rights to doing the events main stage which had Kevin Fowler and Cory Morrow playing on it. Oh yeah!! But in the middle of running around with our heads cut off, we been having lots of fun. We are looking to expand Studio MSP. Needing to expand to carry the work load we have gained though hard work and persistence. Watch us grow!!! So as to not bore you anymore, we have attached a few items we have been working on. RGB vs CYMKToday class, we are talking about COLOR.. easy right.. you have primary colors, which are RED, BLUE, YELLOW. From here you can mix your primary colors to get your secondary colors, that would be violet, green, orange. Now you only really need primary colors to make any color you choose. With in theory! You see these colors make the color spectrum. But when you go to print and to web graphics its a little different. You have RGB and CMYK color combinations to play within. Now RGB color is used for computers, TV's and other items that have a screen on them. RGB is red, green and blue light. As for CYMK, this is for printed materials, and printing applications. CYMK is cyan, yellow, magenta, and black ink. ( I know i said earlier that red, blue, yellow can be combined to make any color so why black ink? If you actually mix the colors together you get more of a milky dark brown. So they mix a black ink to use for black and to help in darker colors. ) The biggest problem with this is it is hard to carry colors back and forth through RGB and CYMK color schemes. With RGB, when you mix this colors together... you get white. One color scheme is the presence of light, the other the absence of light.<br />

That is why is is hard sometimes to take a vibrant color on a computer screen and print that exact color on a printed material. There are ways to get them close, but they will never be the same. That is why its a good idea to have one person/company to help keep your colors correct. The more you have different companies "play" with your images, the more chances there is about having color issues and even altered image issues. If you don't use a person/ one company to do your imaging and branding, then make sure the company you use is qualified in their work, and they should be able to keep you looking good.<br />

While talking about the cards it was discussed that they had 3 variations of a similar "Olive's", but different "Market & Deli" used in their branding. Studio MSP visited with them about one design used on their vehicles. This design and vehicle wrap was done by <a href="http://www.digitaldsigns.com/" target="_blank">Digital D-Signs</a> here in New Braunfels. After discussing this issue, it was decided that this DESIGN would be the brand for their business. After doing the business card, soon other items were added.... NEW storefront signs, banner, stand up banner, and flyer-cards....ALL </span></span><span style="font-family: Times, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: large;">from Studio MSP </span><span style="font-family: Times, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: large;">with the new logo. In addition to those items, they use it on take out boxes, and soon shirts. To better explore this belief, researchers developed a theory called the psychology of color which is concerned with the effects that specific colors have on individuals' moods, emotions, and behaviors as they perceive colors. Some examples used to explore the psychology color include: </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; text-align: left;">The color blue which is frequently used as the color of hospital rooms because it has a very soothing effect that is used to treat illnesses and reducing pain. It accomplishes this by slowing down the rate of the parasympathetic nervous system which controls breathing, heart rate, and subaceous (sweat) glands. Many offices are also decorated blue because research has shown that people are more productive in blue rooms. When an individual wears blue clothing they are seen as dependable and responsible, so people often wear blue clothing to job interviews in order to appear reliable.</span><br />

If you go after executives in corporations, give them something they will use in their offices, around their desktop so your company can be top of mind when they make decisions. Golf-related items are exceptions because lots of business happens on the golf course.</span></div><div style="font-family: georgia, 'times new roman', times, serif; line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: yellow;">• Have it underscore your marketing message and differentiate your company. Mr. McLaughlin recounts a computer software client who makes antivirus software. The client put its logo on boxes of condoms and sent them to information technology types with the message, “Protect yourself, protect your computers.” Results? “Most I.T. people are male,” said Mr. McLaughlin, “and don’t really have girlfriends so that’s particularly titillating. They believe they got pretty good results.” A bit edgy for most companies, but you get the idea.</span></div><div style="font-family: georgia, 'times new roman', times, serif; line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: yellow;">•Personalize them. While we are fond of our company logos, customers really like to use items that have <em>their</em> names on them. “People like seeing their own name above all else, said Mike Linderman, president of <a href="http://www.expresspens.com/" style="text-decoration: underline;">Express Pens</a>, and former chairman of the <a href="http://www.ppai.org/" style="text-decoration: underline;">Promotional Products Association International</a>. His company makes pens in small quantities that can be imprinted with both your company’s logo and your client’s name.</span></div><div style="font-family: georgia, 'times new roman', times, serif; line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: yellow;">• Skip the logoed water bottles and other items that will be quickly used and tossed.
